YVONNE C. COBBS, songwriter, director, recording artist, and actress, has graced the stage with some of the most influential artists in the world, such as the Grateful Dead, Pattie Labelle, Kirk Franklin, and many more. She was one of the top 20 contestants on BET Sunday Best and has performed nationally and internationally.
She is a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, Ca, under the leadership of Pastor A. L. Perkins, and the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Northern California Chapter. In addition, Yvonne has portrayed Ella Fitzgerald and sung many of the American Song Books' jazz music. She has performed in many live stage plays, including Loraine Hansberry Theatre's Black Nativity from 2001 to 2009, Mahalia: A Gospel Musical in 2010, and a staged reading of The Amen Corner directed by Steven Anthony Jones at LHT In 2012, and the music director and featured artist of Soulful Christmas: A Gospel Holiday Concert from 2013- 2021.
In 2022, Yvonne produced Christmas with Soul at the Empress Theatre, Vallejo, CA, and was the music director and a featured artist.
